Subject: Happy New Year!

We saw this hawk sitting on our bird feeder this afternoon – just about twenty feet from our door – he hung out just long enough for us to get a really good look at him and to get this picture.  I’m not sure why, but I took it as a good omen for the coming year, so we thought we would pass on the picture and wish everyone a safe, productive, and happy 2009!!
