Today is a little easier

We are holding up okay – it is truly amazing how hard the death of a pet can hit you. We have had so many wonderful condolences from so many people – it has made it easier in some ways and harder in other ways since those sentiments bring up so many feelings and so many memories. But it also makes us realize how many wonderful people are part of our lives. Thank you everyone for your kind and caring words.

It’s Spring and the toys are still waiting

It's finally getting nice out, the daffodils are getting ready to bloom, and the toys aren't on the road yet – grrrr. Normally, I would have them on the road in early April but the Sprite is still in pieces as I work to finish rebuilding the front suspension. And since I've been putting all my time into the Sprite the poor bike just sits and waits…

What an amazing concert

Last night we saw Santana at BU's Agganis Arena and….. wow. I wasn't expecting anything really great – I figured Carlos was just following the lead of other aging rockers and doing another tour to pad his retirement fund. Man, was I wrong – it was honestly one of the best concerts I have ever seen. He was totally into it, having a great time, and played a non-stop set that started out strong and never slowed down. And he had some of the most amazing backup musicians I have ever heard – except for the drummer, they were all top notch. No question about it – Carlos still has it.
