Cars, racing, and friends

Labor Day weekend was just amazing – I'm still reliving all the great times we had.  Steve, Brad, and I hung out, ate well, drank well, experienced some incredible racing, saw some amazing show cars, and in general had a fantastic time.  I'm not sure I can even begin to describe how much fun it was.  A long weekend at one of the most beautiful race tracks in the country, spent with good friends, and being totally immersed in the sites, sounds, and smells of vintage racing at its best.  It just doesn't get much better than that.  Oh, except for having the opportunity to drive Brad's BMW on some of Connecticut's finest back roads… and not getting any tickets… even though I deserved more than a few!  Thank you, Brad – that was truly a treat.  The only problem with the weekend, dammit, was that I so have to bug to get into vintage racing!  I'm seriously in trouble here…  If you want to see some of the 650 pictures I shot over the weekend, click here.  Mouse under the pictures, click "slow" and "full screen"  Enjoy.

September – now it’s time to play

Wow – how the heck did it get to be September already? And it's been two and a half months since my last blog entry? Wow, times flies when you're not having fun… Well, that's not quite fair – there have been some fun things this summer, but the weather has been pretty poor and that hasn't allowed for a lot of outside fun things to happen. But the Fall is looking up – there are already a number of things planned for September and October. I'm really excited about the next big thing – this weekend I'm meeting Brad and Steve at Limerock Park for the Vintage Festival. After that, we will be going to Vermont two weekends in a row – once for British Invasion and once for a memorial service for Jeanne. Stay tuned – I'm hoping to post more often!
