Boy, it sure is stressful being new parents but we are loving it!  Cody is such an awesome dog and he certainly seems to be making the best of this transition.  It's only be a little less than a week, but he has settled in pretty well and seems to be adjusting very nicely.  The first few times we left him alone he went a little crazy and did a minor amount of damage, but it looks like he's turned the corner – today was our first day back to work since we got him and he did very well (even though Barb came home for lunch).  We're also spying on him during the day with a "Puppy Cam" so we can see what he's up to while we're gone – we certainly don't want him to get the idea that he can invite all the neighborhood dogs over for wild parties!  We'll post more pictures as soon as we can get him to sit still long enough…

We just found out that we were accepted to adopt Cody, a three year old male Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix.  We went out to see him yesterday and he is really a sweet dog.  He is playful, affectionate, and a handsome boy!   We’re not sure when we can bring him home, but we are really excited.  We only have the pictures from the shelter right now, but click here if you want to see him!
